The Success and Popularity of Inception

Inception is ranked 14th in IMDB’s top 250 and rightfully so. But what makes this movie so popular? I believe it’s the notion of mystery and dream exploration that primarily attracts a substantial audience. The movie leaves the viewer in awe with many questions in regards to the fictional world. This in turn encourages word of mouth among peers and fellow movie fans and creates awareness of Inception. Many viewers also watch Inception more than once in an attempt to fully grasp the complex layers that make the movie and to settle any eerie thoughts about dreams.

The Different Way Of Dreaming That Inception Showed Us

Every human being dreams in their life. Sometimes the dreams will become nightmares, sometimes they are motivations for our lives but Inception made us think about our dreams in a different viewpoint. Dream in a dream in a dream... Even writing this is making us confuse. Think about dreaming it. The concept that Inception gives us might be real or not but after the movie everyone thought about it and tried to understand the meaning of it and the meaning of the dreams. The movie was trying to explain us something in a different view. The connection between the dreams and the real life is explained in a sensitive way. Christopher Nolan confused us once again and left us with some questions did not answered.

Inception and Titanic the SAME Universe?

Both Inception and the Titanic are both movies with substantial high praise in the movie industry. Both movies are rated in the Top 500 movies on the Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB) and in the Top 50 highest-grossing movies of all time. However there is a strange similarity with both of these films, in particular with the end of Titanic and the beginning of Inception. This is even more emphasised with protagonist for both films being Leonardo DiCaprio.

As the ending of Titanic (Spoilers) has protagonist drowns to his death in saving his love interest. Where the beginning shot of Inception has the Protagonist waking up from being washed ashore to a beach. This brings into question that do these both movies exist in the same Universe or even the same character. Now obviously these movies were made years between each other and even directed by different people but it is interesting to speculate and link common film ideas.
